Jam45 LLC (“Jam45,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Jam45.com, the Jam45 Android app, and related listener membership, artist, label, marketplace, distributor-catalog, streaming, messaging, library, and notification services (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Service accesses or receives, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

This policy applies to the Jam45 website and the Jam45 Android app. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

1. Information you provide to Jam45

Account information: name or display name, username, email address, password credentials handled through WordPress authentication, profile image, account type, preferences, and other information you add to your profile.
Artist and label information: artist or label names, biographies, genres, links, artwork, release metadata, audio files, videos or video links, credits, explicit-content information, cover-song licensing documents, roster relationships, catalog-transfer records, and payout-related status.
Purchase, membership, and transaction information: orders, purchased releases, listener membership status and billing state, prices, taxes, transaction identifiers, refund or chargeback status, download and streaming entitlements, and related records. Full payment-card numbers and most bank-account credentials are collected by the payment provider rather than Jam45.
Communications and community information: support requests, private Jam45 messages, artist announcements, follows, favorites, playlists, reviews or ratings where available, notification preferences, and other content you choose to submit.
Information sent through forms: registration, login, password-reset, artist or label onboarding, contact, copyright, report, support, and account-deletion requests.

2. Information collected or accessed automatically

Website and security data: IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, requested pages, cookies, session information, server and application logs, anti-abuse signals, and information needed to diagnose errors or protect the Service.
Android app and device registration data: app version, Jam45 account/device authorization information, synchronization status, push-notification registration tokens, notification preferences, and technical information required to connect the app securely to Jam45.
Usage, streaming, and library activity: information needed to provide Jam45 features such as owned releases, downloads, follows, favorites, playlists, notifications, previews, Full Song entitlement, and account synchronization. For eligible streaming, Jam45 may record track/release identifiers, qualified listening events, service tier, territory or country context, app/website surface, timestamps, and anti-abuse or deduplication signals needed for partner reporting, rights administration, settlement, and fraud prevention.

3. On-device music and artwork in the Android app

If you grant the Android app permission to access audio on your device, Jam45 can read information such as song title, artist, album, date added, duration, embedded artwork, and the audio file itself so the app can display and play your on-device music. Your local audio files are not uploaded to Jam45 merely because you use the On This Device feature.

On-device playlists created by the app are stored locally unless a feature expressly tells you that it synchronizes with your Jam45 account.

If a local song has no usable artwork, Jam45 may send the artist name to Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons to look for a reusable artist image. Jam45 does not send the local audio file to Wikimedia for this lookup. If a suitable image is found, the app may cache the image and its attribution information on your device.

4. Push notifications and Firebase

Jam45 uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver optional Android push notifications, such as followed-artist release or announcement alerts. Firebase may process a device/app registration token, technical delivery information, and the notification content needed to deliver the message. You can control Jam45 notification preferences in the Service and can also disable notifications through Android settings.

5. Payments, payouts, listener billing, and Stripe

Jam45 uses third-party payment services, including Stripe where enabled, for website payments, paid Listener membership billing where enabled, artist payout onboarding, identity or account verification, fraud controls, and payouts. Those providers may independently collect payment-card, bank-account, identity, tax, device, and transaction information under their own terms and privacy policies. Jam45 generally receives transaction status, identifiers, amounts, payout status, and other information needed to operate the marketplace rather than full card or bank credentials.

6. Cookies, Turnstile, and similar technologies

Jam45 uses cookies and similar technologies for login sessions, account security, preferences, carts or checkout, downloads, and normal website operation. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

Jam45 uses Cloudflare Turnstile or similar anti-abuse technology on certain forms. These services may process browser, network, device, challenge, hostname, country, and IP-related signals to distinguish legitimate users from automated abuse and help prevent fraud.

7. How Jam45 uses information

We use information to:

create, authenticate, secure, synchronize, and support accounts;
provide previews, purchases, downloads, library access, playlists, follows, favorites, messages, notifications, and artist or label tools;
process marketplace orders, Listener memberships, entitlements, commissions, payouts, refunds, chargebacks, accounting, tax, and transaction records;
measure qualified streaming usage and prepare distributor/content-partner usage, rights, financial, and settlement records;
review releases, rights documentation, abuse reports, copyright complaints, and account-deletion requests;
prevent fraud, spam, unauthorized access, security incidents, and misuse;
maintain, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the Service;
communicate service, transaction, security, support, and legally required notices; and
comply with law, payment-provider obligations, and enforceable legal requests.

8. When information may be shared

Jam45 does not sell personal information for money. We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:

Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, email, security, database, storage, payment, payout, fraud-prevention, notification, and technical providers working on Jam45’s behalf.
Google Firebase: for Android notification delivery as described above.
Cloudflare: for Turnstile, security, and abuse prevention where used.
Stripe and financial partners: for payments, artist payouts, verification, fraud prevention, disputes, and regulatory obligations.
Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons: when the optional missing-artwork lookup sends a local track’s artist name to locate reusable artist artwork.
Artists or labels: information reasonably necessary to administer a transaction, catalog relationship, support issue, rights matter, or other feature in which you and that artist or label participate.
Distributors and content partners: catalog, usage, territory, service-tier, rights, financial, anti-fraud, and other information reasonably necessary to administer distributor-delivered catalog, contractual reports, audits, takedowns, disputes, and settlements.
Legal and safety reasons: when disclosure is reasonably believed necessary to comply with law, court process, valid government requests, payment rules, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or secure the Service.
Business changes: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
At your direction or with your consent: when you ask us to disclose information or connect a third-party service.

9. Data retention

Jam45 keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or for legitimate legal, financial, security, rights-management, and operational needs. Retention varies by data type and account history.

Purchase and order records, payment or payout records, tax and accounting records, refund and chargeback records, fraud-prevention and security records, catalog-ownership records, qualified-usage records, distributor/content-partner reports and settlement records, and records needed for legal claims or compliance may be retained after account deletion when necessary. Jam45 does not apply an additional blanket retention period to deleted accounts; information that must be retained is kept only for as long as the applicable obligation reasonably requires and is deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.

10. Account deletion

Jam45 provides an account-deletion path at https://jam45.com/login/?jam45_auth=delete and through the Android app.

Eligible listener accounts can confirm self-service deletion. Jam45 deletes or de-identifies account profile information and associated service data that is no longer needed, subject to the retention obligations described above. Artist and label accounts may require administrator review before removal when catalog ownership, payouts, refunds, chargebacks, tax records, rights disputes, or other business obligations must be resolved.

11. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update many account and profile details through Jam45. You can control browser cookies through browser settings, notification permissions through Android settings, and Jam45 notification preferences through supported account controls.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of certain personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; or appeal a denied privacy request. Jam45 may need to verify your identity or authority before acting.

12. Security

Jam45 uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections for the Service and security controls around account and app authorization. No website, app, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a unique password, protect your devices, and notify Jam45 promptly if you suspect account compromise.

13. Children

The Jam45 Android app is intended for adults age 18 and older and is not designed for children. Jam45 does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Service without legally required parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact support@jam45.com.

14. International users

Jam45 is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from another country, information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other locations where Jam45’s service providers operate, subject to applicable legal safeguards.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Jam45 may update this policy when the Service, technology, legal requirements, or business practices change. The updated date will appear at the top. Material changes may also be communicated through the website, app, dashboard, or email where appropriate.
